Compass Players 2.0

Compass Players 2.0 is a curated ensemble of improvisers brought together to share the joy of improv throughout the St. Louis community.

Drawing inspiration from the original Compass Players, this new chapter embraces performers with diverse backgrounds, experiences, and improvisational styles. From short-form and long-form to musical improv and beyond, we’ll assemble ensembles tailored to each performance opportunity.

Whether performing at community events, festivals, private gatherings, or special collaborations, Compass Players 2.0 is about creating connections, celebrating creativity, and bringing people together through laughter.

Compass Players 2.0 is planning its first performance in collaboration with Wydown United Church’s Red Gate Gallery, in conjunction with the opening of its Humans of St. Louis photography exhibition.

This special event will bring improvisation and visual art together, creating an opportunity to explore the stories, connections, and experiences that make up our community.

We’re currently working with the gallery to finalize the performance date, anticipated for December 2026.

And this is just the beginning! Compass Players 2.0 will bring together performers for a variety of future opportunities, with ensembles assembled to suit each event.

We’re looking for improvisers who are excited to collaborate, perform, and help bring improv to new audiences throughout St. Louis. Whether you’re interested in short-form, long-form, musical improv, or a little of everything, we’d love to hear from you!

Complete our interest form to tell us about your experience, interests, and availability. Compass Players 2.0 is a curated ensemble, with performers selected based on the needs of individual performance opportunities.
